Carbon fiber reinforcements

An optional feature we offer to our customers is the installation of carbon fiber bars to reinforce the necks.

Two bars are installed parallel to the truss rod and help with stability and adjustment of the neck.

Is it essential? No. Does it help? Yes.

A reinforced neck will relief less, and will relief more uniformly, making adjustment easier.

Carbon fiber is a material generally chosen for these purposes due to its weight/strength ratio, much better than wood.

Other materials are also used, such as titanium, but in order to gain a little resistance compared to carbon fiber, much more weight is added. It is a much more resistant material, but with a worse weight/resistance ratio.

It is important to remember that materials such as Titanium and Carbon Fiber will not make the arm immobile!

Two versions are available. The pair of solid 8x8mm bars, which has twice the resistance of the common bars on the market, which are usually 7x4mm.

And another version of 8x8mm perforated. With a better cost-benefit, lighter, and with the same strength as the 7x4 bars, but with the advantage of taking up more space inside the arm, that is, more unstable material (wood) is removed to add stable synthetic material (Carbon Fiber).

Study on the resistance of the materials:

In the tests, a weight of 4.25 kg was applied
